Join us on September 28, 2019 from 7:30-3:00 for a 1 day crash course in hand and upper extremity treatment. This practical course will be compromised of both didactic lecture and practical “how-to” procedural break out sessions. The course will be taught by experienced upper extremity surgeons that are focused on emergency care and by Physicians Assistants that are the primary providers of emergency care.

  • Urgent Care Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners

Course Objectives

  • Evaluate, manage, and establish appropriate care plans for acute conditions of the hand and upper extremity.

  • Perform minor hand procedures (nailbed repairs, drainage of infections, etc.)

  • Learn techniques for local anesthesia, injections, and aspirations

  • Improve fracture reduction and splinting techniques
